FOR PROPOSALS: IT COULD HAPPEN HERE The aim of the project
IT COULD HAPPEN HERE is to encourage the inhabitants of Barcelona
to think about the consequences of natural disasters happening in some places
around the world. The idea is to get these events closer to the city of Barcelona
by representing them in public spaces of our city through virtual
manipulation of the images. How Plaça Catalunya would look like after
a disaster like Katrina? How any given street or square of the city of Barcelona
would look like after an earthquake, like the recent one in Pakistan?, after the
bombings in Bali?, after a tropical storm?, after floods?
It could also
happen here. Those things do not always happen to other people. The aim of
the call is to select digital format images showing this kind of virtual intervention
in any public space of Barcelona. Those images will be shown within the frame
of the event. Deadline: 10 May 2006 4. CALL FOR PROPOSALS:

SPACES The objective of the call is the selection of audio-visual
documents to be projected, showing experiences of artistic intervention in public
spaces of any city or territory. Deadline: 10 May 2006 |
